How to get to TCDF Eco-Logic?

TCDF Eco-Logic is located in the most northern province of the south, Chumpon province (not to be confused with Chumpon City!), where the land is only 75 kilometer wide in between east and west coast line the middle of that area, high up in the mountains. The closest city nearby is the city of Ranong.

We are located on a beautiful, but rather isolated spot, named Pak Song village. Getting there is nevertheless no problem.

You can choose to travel either via the west coast through the city of Ranong (by bus) or via the east coast through Lang Suan (by bus or by train). Traveling to Ranong is the best option. There are more connections towards us from there. Scroll down this page for more information.

From Ranong as well as Lang Suan you can travel by bus to the village of Pak Song (municipality Phato). Lang Suan is about 60 km from Paksong. Ranong is about 50 km from Paksong (45 minutes by bus).

From Ranong you can also do a visa run (by boat) to Myanmar.

In Ranong you can take the bus heading to Lang Suan (Suratthanee, Hadyai), and in Lang Suan you can take the bus heading to Ranong.

Keep this in mind when you ask directions to find the right bus as there are very few people who will know where Pak Song is and which busses pass this little village! Once in the right bus ask the driver to let you of in Pak Song. From the Pak Song intersection we can transfer you to TCDF Eco-Logic, so call us when you know on what bus you are getting on.

If you want to be picked up from Lang Suan or Ranong we can organize a taxi service for you. Just let us know in advance for the costs and pickup time.

Travel towards Ranong

By bus:

BANGKOK	Southern Bus Terminal. Get out in Ranong. From there you take a bus to Paksong.	8-9 hours
PHUKET	Central Bus Station near Phuket City Center. Get out in Ranong. From there you take a bus to Paksong.	4-5 hours
HAD YAI	Bus Station. This bus passes Phato and Pak Song BEFORE reaching Ranong. Get out at the Pak Song intersection, after you passed Phato.	8 hours
SURATTHANEE	Bus Station at Talaad Kaset 2 behind Thai Thani Hotel. This bus passes Phato and Pak Song. Get out at the Pak Song intersection, after you pass Phato.	4 hours
	Non-airconditioned bus. Departing from Bus Station at Talaad Kaset 1 opposite side of main road. This bus passes Phato and Pak Song. Get out at the Pak Song intersection, after you passed Phato.	5 hours
KRABI	Bus Station at Talaad Kao on the Highway. Get out in Ranong. From there you take a bus to Paksong.	6 hours

When you arrive in Ranong, you can take a bus from the bus terminal, direction Lang Suan, Suratthanee or Hadyai. There are busses in the early morning (7 o’clock and 10 o’clock). There is an afternoon bus at 14.00 o’clock and an evening bus at 20.00 o’clock.

Get out at the Pak Song intersection. We can pick you up from there if you let us know beforehand.

Travel towards Lang Suan

By bus:

All the busses from Bangkok to any destination in the South (east coast) will stop in Lang Suan. Some in the town, some in the second bus station on the main highway (10 km from town).

The other way round is also true: every bus from the Southeast (Surathanee, Hadyai, etc.) will stop in Lang Suan on its way to Bangkok.

When you arrive at Lang Suan by bus, you can you take a motorcycle taxi to the market (talaad). Close to the market you'll find the bus station with the local red busses. Take a bus direction Ranong. There is an 11 o’clock bus and 17.00 o’clock bus.

Get out in Pak Song (ca. 1 hour in the bus). We can pick you up and bring you to our place if you let us know your arrival time in advance.

By train:

Traveling by train is a very comfortable, but it will take a bit more time. You have to travel to Lang Suan.

You can choose to arrive in the morning or in the afternoon (you can check the Thai Railway web site for exact times and a schedule).

Once in Lang Suan you cross the railway, towards the market (talaad) of Lang Suan. There will be motorcycle taxi's at the train station who can bring you there.

Close to the market you'll find the bus station with the local red busses. Take a bus direction Ranong. There is an 11.00 o’clock bus and a 17.00 o'clock bus.

Get out in Pak Song (ca. 75 minutes in the bus). We can pick you up and bring you to our place if you let us know your arrival time in advance.

Own transport

The roads are easy to travel and the view is beautiful!

When you use your own transport coming from Ranong or Phuket, you turn east at the Ratchakrud intersection (N4006). The direction is to Lang Suan. After about 17 km you have to take a turn right (if you come from Ranong) at the Paksong intersection (there is a small gas station there). On the intersection you will see a sign, saying Thai Child Development Foundation.

If you come from Lang Suan you take the main road direction Phato, Ranong (N4006). You have to pass Phato (it is on your left hand side 50 kilometers after Lang Suan). After another 12 km's you will see a left turn, the Paksong intersection. Go left there.

From the Paksong intersection on you cross a small bridge and follow the road, turning left. After about 1 km you will see the entrance to TCDF Eco-Logic and the Thai Child Development Foundation (on your left hand side opposite a little shop).

It is easy to recognize, there is a big sign and you will see the sand-arena for the horses from the road.

Take the path going up the mountain, towards our restaurant.
